Blackstone National Pro-Am, Spots Available

The first pro-am of the 2007 North American Pro Golf Tour season will be held at Blackstone National Golf Course in Sutton, MA. Held a day before the two day tournament, the pro-am will be a shotgun start on July 8 at 1:30 p.m.
Three amateurs will be teamed up with one professional from the NAPGT. This is a chance for club members and golfers from the area to play with someone of this caliber. The day includes lunch, NAPGT gear, and a chance to donate to a worthy cause–Multiple Sclerosis research.
Proceeds from the Blackstone pro-am will go to the University of Massachusetts Medical School to support research in finding a cause and cure for MS, a disorder of the central nervous system that often leads to paralysis and blindness., and afflicts two million people worldwide.
This cause is very important to President and Owner of Blackstone National Golf Course, Michael Gordon, whose sister has MS. “It has been my quest to do as much as I can in my lifetime as possible,” he said. This is why he has held so many charity events, like the NAPGT pro-am, at BNGC throughout the years, all of them benefiting MS research.
Registration for the July 8 pro-am is still open, so there is time to join in the activities. This event is sure to be beneficial to all involved. “Our goals are to give the amateurs a great experience while raising needed funds for MS research,” said Gordon. There are a few spots still available for those
who would like to play. Call the club at 508 865 2111 ext 3.
